The Way it Was: San Francisco Summer of 1967

This video was directed by Donald Shebib of CBC. It depicts the life of the hippies in San Francisco during the summer of 1967. There is a guest appearance by George H. Conger and a discussion of the politics of the day with regards to the use of marijuana and the Peace and Freedom movement. Also included, footage of weddings and concerts in Golden Gate Park, The Diggers, Haight Ashbury, Job Corps and other community services.
